Magneto-thermal modeling of induction machines using inverse problem methodology

Résumé

The thermal behavior of electrical machines is studied. The finite element method is used to calculate the field and temperature distribution inside the machine. A Monte-Carlo method is introced to distribute randomly the conductor inside the slots. The inverse problem methodology is applied to the bundle of conductors to evaluate the physical properties of the equivalent material. The model is validated by experimental results.
