Socio-Cognitivo-Emotional Clashes in a Philosophical Dialogue on Destiny. Symposium ‘Argumentation in Value-Laden Dialogues'
Résumé
Animating dialogue with children during a session of Community of Philosophical Inquiry (CPI) consists in grasping an opportune turn of phrase they utter, the kairos, and using it to further collective reasoning. We define cultural constructs and perform micro-meso-macro analyses on a video-recorded CPI session showing how cultural clashes lead teachers to miss opportunities for debate and ultimately create barriers to an inclusive multicultural classroom.
