Modelling and Control of An Artificial Mouth of a Flute Wind Musical Instrument
Résumé
This paper focuses on the first step of a larger research program. The objective of this step is to model and control the initial part of a wind musical instrument (flute) which is the artificial mouth, for the purpose of precisely controlling the input pressure and the output flow that will be feeding the resonator of the instrument in order to get a very precise musical note. The modelling part will be done using Matlab/Simulink blocks that will present the system description and its parameters. The control law system design of the pressure inside the artificial mouth will be used in this modelling. For the control part, a frequency-domain approach is used to synthesize a traditional PI 2 controller and a CRONE controller. Finally, a comparative study shows that the CRONE controller leads to a better robust and stable degree of the pressure supply with respect to its uncertainties.
