Verifying output amplitude constraints in a robust manner for an identification experiment with a multisine excitation
Résumé
When designing an identification experiment to determine a model of a given true system, a frequent requirement is that the amplitude of the output of the true system does not exceed a certain value. Since this output depends on the unknown true system, respecting such an output amplitude constraint is a challenging task. Inspired by robustness analysis, we will here verify this output amplitude constraint using an uncertainty region containing the unknown true system. More particularly, we provide an LMI optimization problem to verify whether the output amplitude constraint is satisfied for all systems in this uncertainty region when the excitation signal is a multisine. In addition, input amplitude constraints can also be verified using the results of this paper.
