Résumé

Abstract This paper explores the fundamental principles of Kaizen and its transformative impact on manufacturing processes to achieve continuous improvement and operational excellence. Kaizen, a Japanese term meaning "change for the better or continuous improvement," emphasizes small, incremental improvements made by all employees at every level of an organization. In the context of manufacturing, Kaizen principles lead to enhanced efficiency, reduced waste, and improved quality. By embracing Kaizen, manufacturers are not merely reacting to change but actively shaping their future, ensuring sustainable growth and continuous improvement in an increasingly complex industrial landscape. The article examines key Kaizen concepts, methodologies in manufacturing, and implementation steps of Kaizen concept in manufacturing processes which entail Kaizen blitz, 5S framework, Poka Yoke, PDCA cycle, visual stream mapping, and Kanban system. After discussing the many benefits of the manufacturing technique, the paper concluded that Kaizen remains a keystone for driving continuous improvement and achieving long-term success, as embracing its philosophy will enable manufacturers to create a culture of continuous improvement that drives sustained success and competitive advantage.
