Oral reading practices: a disciplinary genre?
Les pratiques orales de lecture : un genre disciplinaire ?
Abstract
Analysing oral reading practices as a disciplinary genre makes it possible to identify the variation in practices across disciplines and how they are configured in French. Between scriptural orality and oral scripturality, the disciplinary genre absorbs different aims in which reading aloud, expressive reading emphasised by syllabuses in recent years, can become lost, thus revealing the difficulties encountered by pupils, but also suggesting possible avenues for training.
