Integrating history of mathematics on the creative process
Résumé
This article intends to discuss the potential of teaching tasks that integrate History of Mathematics
for the development of the creative process. Using Sawyer's conceptual model of the creative process
(2013), and Boden's perspective of P-creativity (2004), it is concluded that the tasks integrating
History of Mathematics that favour the development of the creative process, should be interesting
and challenging, involve relevant mathematics, create opportunities to apply and extend knowledge,
allow the application of different strategies, with wide possibilities of relations, ideas and solutions.
