Topological approach to historical analytic narrative in the 'Game Theory lab' activities
Résumé
The application of mathematical theories of rational choice, such as individual decision theory, game theory, and social choice theory, to fields like economics, sociology, and politics has been rapidly increasing. Game theory in particular has emerged as the logical and mathematical framework for understanding the conflict and interaction between individuals. The ability to reinterpret past events through game theory models has made history an analytical narrative of events, with mathematics as the primary tool used to formalise universal models to analyse the interactions between agents. In this work we will illustrate an experimental educational laboratory developed with the students of the last classes of the Mathematical High School Project and dedicated to the theory of rational choices.
