This article, published in the book Godard Machines (ed. Antoine de Baecque, Gilles Mouëllic), looks back at the design of the 8-35 camera prototype that Jean-Luc Godard commissioned from Aaton. Illuminated by the diary kept by camera assistant Hugues Ryffel, it looks back at the technical problems encountered during the shooting of the film Passion (1982) and the question of invention as envisaged by Jean-Luc Godard.
Cet article, paru dans l'ouvrage Godard Machines (dir. Antoine de Baecque, Gilles Mouëllic) revient sur la conception du prototype de caméra 8-35 dont Jean-Luc Godard avait passé commande à Aaton. Eclairé par le journal qu'a tenu Hugues Ryffel, assistant caméra, permet de revenir sur les problèmes techniques rencontrés lors du tournage du film Passion (1982) et la question de l'invention telle qu'elle était envisagée par Jean-Luc Godard.
