Fresh Water, Law and Stakes in the Arab States of the Gulf Cooperation Council

Résumé

This book brings together ideas from academia, the public and private sectors and non-profit organisations, to address the different aspects of the freshwater challenge. While the focus is on water itself as a resource, contributors approach the role of the State, as well as the legal framework required for change. The contributions offer a fresh perspective based on broad experience and lessons learned from other areas facing water shortages. Many students have also taken part of this publication as part of their studies. As a result, this body of work is intended for practitioners, lawyers, geographers, researchers, and supervisors in the water management field.
