A Compressive Millimeter-Wave Interferometric Imager for Security Applications

Résumé

Abstract: This paper introduces a Passive Millimeter-Wave Imager based on a physical layer compressive sensing approach. Previous works demonstrated the effectiveness of an original interferometric imager architecture operating in the S-Band. The system associates a passive microwave coder to an interferometric array leading to a drastically reduced number of the receiver chains compared to conventional architectures. Considering the preliminary results, this concept is an attractive prospect for a simplified architecture of passive screeners dedicated to security applications.
