New High-Pressure Phase of H20: Ice X
Résumé
H20 at 300 K has been studied up to 67 GPa by Brillouin scattering. A transition to a new form of ice occurs at 44 GPa. This is the tenth known solid form of H20 and may be the expected "symmetric-ice" structure.
