Nonlinearoptical(NLO)imagingisarecentpowerfultoolinthefieldofmicroscopybecauseofitssensitivitytospecificmoleculesorbiologicalstructures.Forinstance,multiphotonfluorescence(2or3photons),secondandthirdharmonicgeneration,andcoherentanti‐StokesRamanscattering(CARS)hasallowedthedevelopmentoffast,safeandcostlessbiomedicalimagingtoimprovethediagnosticinabroadrangeofclinicaldisciplines:gastroenterologists,dermatologists,neurologists…
Indeed,theuseoflightforimaginghasbeentheselastdecadeslargelyimprovedbytheemergenceanddevelopmentofultrafastlasers,whichallowdeeperimaginginbiologicaltissueswithhigherspatialresolution.
Inthiswork,weexposedifferentmedicalorbiologicalsamplesthathaveimagedbymultiphotonmicroscopyincomparisonwithstandardclassicalhistology.
