On the Choice of Multiple Flat Outputs for Fault Detection and Isolation of a Flat System
Résumé
This paper presents a rigorous definition of the isolability of a defect in a flat system whose flat outputs are measured by sensors that are subject to faults. Particularly, we show that the isolation of higher-dimensional defects can be attained under a certain condition pertaining to the relation between the flat outputs. Accordingly, a detailed characterization of this relation is presented in a mathematical framework. Finally, the validity of the results is demonstrated using the three-tank system.
