Adaptive observer design for bilinear descriptor system with time delays

Abstract

In order to estimate simultaneously the states and the unknown parameters in a dynamic system, we address in this work the problem of the design of an adaptive observer. As a generalization of some previous works, we consider here, the bilinear descriptor time delay systems. Sufficient conditions for the existence of the proposed observer are given. Based on Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) formulation, delay-independant stability conditions are derived.
