Advanced Management of Documents Integrity In an Intranet Environment

Résumé

Summary form only given. Applications based on intranet technology have proved to be a golden approach to support corporate Web-based systems (cws). These systems have become an interesting support to business documentation. Moreover, in the electronic age, World Wide Web, intranet and Webware are becoming key concepts in the way we read, write, and deliver information services. In most cases, enterprises are taking advantage of them by using cws to scatter and share structured documentation. However, preserving the coherence of a document repository is one of the crucial problems. Specifically, whenever a document's links are modified, there is a potential risk of destroying the record of a linked text. We address this issue and we try to remedy this shortcoming by adding advanced features in cws for managing document integrity. The study proposes a solution based on active functionalities. It proposes the definition of an active Web-server of documents. Our approach is based both on the active database and eca rules paradigm.
