The IFIP Stellenbosch declaration : Browsing the researchers’ and practicioners’ core ideas on ICT in education

Résumé

As an output of the IFIP World Conference on Computers in Education WCCE 2005, the Stellenbosch declaration addressed to delegates key ideas and recommendations which standed out as core points of view concerning ICT in education. During the conference, participants were asked to answer some questions on forms, which constituted the “raw material” on which the declaration written by the IFIP committee was based. This paper deals with the analysis of these forms. We first present the Stellenbosch declaration and our methodology to study the questionnaires. Then, we analyze the participants’ answers, before identifying and discussing key ideas. We compare answers and an overall analysis ends this paper.
