Information Model for Dissassembly for Reuse, Recycling, and Remanufacturing

Résumé

Disassembly process is an essential activity in the mid and end of a product’s service life cycle. Maintenance is a mid product life activity, which involves disassembly, cleaning, repair, replace, inspection, and reassembly. Remanufacturing, reuse, and recycle are end of product service life activities to reduce environmental impact and increase economic benefits. This report describes a developed disassembly information model. It is an integrated information with the following key components: feature, tolerance, workpiece material, equipment, and process. The model supports the modeling of disassembly features, sequence, operations, decision making, and workflow. Case study with products and specific disassembly processes verifies the developed model.
