Quasi-real time modeling for security of a drinking water distribution network

Modélisation quasi-temps réel pour la sécurité d'un réseau de distribution d'eau

Résumé

The SMaRT-OnlineWDN project focuses on how to manage real time data to get reliable water quality and water quantity models adapted for security issues. This paper discusses how to enhance hydraulic and transport models and adapt them to the online use and security. Firstly, the transport model is enriched by adding incomplete junction mixing at nodes, axial dispersion and diffusion. Then the hydraulic model is also improved adopting transient formulation, graph simplification and online calibration of demands. Finally, source identification algorithms adapted for real-time are developed.
