A joint predictive inspection and maintenance policy for multi-component systems using importance measure and prognostic information

Phuc Do Van

Résumé

This paper presents a joint predictive inspection and maintenance policy for multi-deteriorating component systems with complex structure which may have an important influence on inspection and maintenance decision making. The predictive reliability/RUL of components and their structural importance are jointly used to build inspection and preventive decision rules. Moreover, economic dependencies between components are also. In addition, in order to evaluate the performance of the proposed joint inspection and maintenance policy, a cost model is used. A numerical example of a multi-component system is finally introduced in order to illustrate the use of the proposed joint policy.
