A two filters strategy for failure detection

Résumé

This paper is concerned with the problem of a failure detection for one dimensional system evolving in a steady state. The detected failures are characterized by n order linear models. To detect a failure we use two filters elaborated with two hypothesis (normal mode, failure mode). A practical application concerning the detection of surface defect on steel products illustrates the proposed method.
