Parareal in time 3D numerical solver for the LWR Benchmark neutron diffusion transient model
Résumé
We propose in this paper a parareal in time algorithm for the resolution of the Langenbuch-Maurer-Werner (LMW) benchmark~\citep{LMWref} neutron diffusion transient model. The parallelization in time is prompt thanks to a the coarse solver, which is based on a stable coarse time step with a steady control rods model. The finite element implementation provides a good scalability of the algorithm, where the time discretization is based on a Euler implicit scheme. Numerical results show the efficiency of the parareal method on large light water reactor transient model.
