Prospects on Hollow-Core Photonic Crystal Fibers for Unconventional Fibered Laser Sources
Résumé
We report on recent progress in the conception and fabrication of HCPCFs for unconventional spectral range. A brief review of the most noteworthy fibers laser sources based on gas-filled HCPCFs optically pumped is presented. After, recent works done in our group about light generation induced by an original discharge scheme in gas filled hollow-core capillaries with inner diameter down to 100 μm are developped. The opportunities to transfer these unprecedented results to the world of HCPCFs opening the route towards the first fiber gas laser based on a glow discharge.
