Three-dimensional electromagnetic field in a conductive cylinder at eddy-current frequencies

Résumé

This contribution is relevant to non destructive evaluation at eddy-current frequencies, and it focuses upon the development and validation of means of calculation of the electromagnetic field in a conductive cylinder when a circular loop source is located outside the cylinder and is arbitrarily orientated. This is the first step of the modelling of the electromagnetic behaviour of a multi-layered cylinder possibly affected by various defects (loss of material, magnetic or conductive inclusions).
