On the polynaphthalimide synthesis-influence of reaction conditions

This paper reports on the activating effect of various acidic and basic compds. on the formation of naphthalimide ring. A kinetic study of imidization reaction was performed on model compds. using 19F NMR spectroscopy anal. On the other hand, efficiency of some activating agents for the synthesis of a polyimide prepd. from 1,4,5,8-naphthalene tetracarboxylic dianhydride (NTDA) and 2,2-bis-[4-(4-aminophenoxy)phenyl]-hexafluoropropane (BAPHF) was evaluated
