Collaborative Environment for Augmented Objects Design

Résumé

Industrial objects design approaches are evolving rapidly. Collaboration between multiple organizations and enterprises becomes a significant key factor for design and construction of various and complex artifacts. To facilitate this collaboration, it is necessary to create an environment that integrates the different stages of the development process. The objective of this paper is to explain a collaborative architecture for augmented objects collaborative design. The augmented objects are physical objects with which users can interact naturally and at the same time use computer–supported (augmented) functions. A practical example illustrates the interest of such an environment in applying it to the design of an augmented diary.
