Positron annihilation study in polyaniline conducting polymer
Abstract
The positron lifetime spectra in polyaniline have been measured as a function of protonation level (pH from 7 to -0.8). We observed that (1) the short lifetime τ1 decreased with the protonation level ; (2) the intermediate lifetime was constant (τ2 ≈ 360 ps), whereas its intensity I2 increased with increasing protonation level which was related to the conductivity of material. These results are discussed in terms of conducting island model.
