GREENLAB-tomato: a 3D architectural model of tomato development

Résumé

A 3D architectural model of greenhouse tomato development is presented. The GREENLAB dual-scale automaton is used to model plant organo.genesis from germination to maturity The model simulates both plant topological structure and the kinetics of elongation of individual organs. Results show that organ expansion is the same among phytomers although they had different final lengths. The kinetics of any organ can be simulated from its final length and an extension law, and the kinetics is expressed in orgarrogenesis growth cycle (GQ units). With parameterisation, it is possible to model the variability of phytomer size, together with their aeometric shapes
