Dalla Cloud for EuropeanHeritage al ProgettoHorizon Placemus-Xr
Résumé
This presentation traces the evolution from a pioneering project . It begins with the first explorations of virtual musical heritage (Cubiculum Musicae, ReVisMartin) and culminates with Okeghem 5.0, recreating Tours in 1480 through a 3D film and an immersive video game. These achievements revealed significant limitations: high costs, proprietary formats, and lack of interoperability. This challenge motivated the participation in ECHOES and the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH), a federated infrastructure connecting 30 countries, 187 partners, and over 1,000 organisations through a single entry point and enriched metadata. The new PlaceMUS XR project leverages this infrastructure to create immersive musical itineraries across Europe (Renaissance, Baroque, historical organs, folk music), combining historical soundscape reconstruction, virtual/augmented reality, and citizen co-creation. The approach transforms musical places into accessible "Digital Commons," while addressing critical challenges: the digital divide, ethics of reconstruction, energy sustainability, and collaborative governance of heritage data.
