LoRa-com INRAE's Shared LoRaWAN Platform for Agri-environmental Research Towards an Efficient IoT Ecosystem

Résumé

LoRaWAN technology (Long Range Wide Area Network) is an innovative solution dedicated to the Internet of Things (IoT), enabling low-bit-rate communication over long distances while consuming very little energy. In agronomy and environmental science, it represents a major breakthrough for the collection of precise environmental data, resource optimization, and efficient management of field experiments. The LoRa-com project aims to promote, expand, and standardize the use of LoRaWAN technology in the agri-environmental, phenotypic, as well as the animal and plant sectors. Given the growing importance of data in these scientific projects, automated data collection and remote control have become essential.
