Meaning Blindness and Linguistic Feeling. Wittgenstein on how we 'Experience' Meaning
Résumé
Wittgenstein has paid much attention to what he calls "experience of meaning" and has tried to figure out what would be the consequences if someone was meaning blind and, accordingly, deprived of such an experience. The aim of this paper is (1) to try to piece together his idea of an experience of meaning and his rule-based account of meaning and (2) to bring out the connections with his treatment of aspect perception.
