Leveraging microbial metabolic diversity for lignocellulose anodic electrochemical oxidation
Résumé
Context of the study
Lignocellulose (LC), composed of lignin, cellulose, and hemicellulose, is a significant biomass resource. Annually, 200 billion tones of lignocellulosic biomass (LCB) are generated, but only 3% of this is utilized in the circular bioeconomy. A major challenge in processing LC is that lignin creates a barrier that hinders degradation, making the biomass recalcitrant.
