Advanced Blind Mutually Referenced Equalizer in MIMO Communications Systems with QPSK Modulation

Résumé

The rapid advancement of digital communication and mobile networks demands robust techniques to ensure high-speed transmissions and enhanced spectral efficiency. Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems play a critical role in achieving these goals, but face challenges like signal distortions and inter-symbol interference (ISI) due to channel noise and multi-path effects. Traditional equalization methods, such as Zero Forcing (ZF) and Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE), require prior knowledge of the channel, which can limit spectral efficiency. Blind equalization algorithms, such as the Constant Modulus Algorithm (CMA) and Mutually Referenced Equalizers (MRE), offer a solution by removing distortions without requiring channel knowledge. In this paper, we introduce an advanced MRE algorithm designed for blind equalization in MIMO systems using Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) modulation. Our proposed method enhances the performance of MIMO systems by employing mutual referencing between multiple equalizers, allowing for faster convergence and improved robustness. This results in better handling of complex communication environments, offering an effective solution to the challenges posed by traditional equalization methods. The algorithm is designed to optimize signal recovery and improve transmission reliability, making it a valuable tool for modern communication systems.
