Observer-based output feedback for an age-dependent SIRD model
Résumé
This paper deals with control of an epidemic, on the basis of an age-dependent Susceptible-Infected-Recovered-Deceased (SIRD) model, and appropriate immunization strategy. Initially, the well-posedness and the stability of the open-loop system are examined, and it is shown that non-negative control laws reduce the peak number of infections. The use of a high gain observer is then proposed to ensure the possible implementation of any kind of such a feedback law, showing that the stability of the resulting closed-loop system is preserved. Finally, numerical simulations are conducted to validate the approach.
