Real-time visual attention measure in Virtual Reality: A Work-In-Progress of a Pilot Study

Résumé

Evaluating user’s visual attention is a major stake in education and professional training. In virtual reality, assessing user’s focus in real time would allow directing its attention to the right source of information through visual cues. In this study, we present a system to evaluate visual attention behaviors in real-time in a virtual environment where several activities can be completed at will. For this purpose, eye- tracking data is collected and processed in real-time via a server/client communication between a VR headset and the application.
