Computational thinking in mathematics problem solving: interplay between context, mathematics and computer science

Résumé

sequence prepared collectively by secondary mathematics teachers and researchers. This contribution reports on a sequence of lessons about approaching the measurement of area of irregular surfaces from a probabilistic perspective at grade 7 (students of 12-13 years). Scratch was used to program a simulation to estimate the area of irregular surfaces.
