Implementation of Two-Signature Security on an Identity Storage Smart Contract
Résumé
In the search for a decentralised identity scheme, one of the questions is how to store the generated identity in a way that is not only secure, but also allows it to be protected directly in its storage space. This paper presents a new theoretical Smart Contract model where a twosignature security scheme is implemented to ensure the integrity of the information stored by the user, acting as the owner of the Smart Contract. The signature process has been developed to secure identity verification, eliminating the need for a Trusted Third Party. The experimental version deployed, using an Ethereum-compatible environment, shows the feasibility and efficacy of incorporating dual signatures within identity verification processes. This Smart Contract, part of the 3BI-ECC framework implementation, demonstrates that the two-signature approach provides enhanced security for identity management on blockchain platforms, allowing a user to manage his own identity within a communications network.
