Simulation of mixture flows by the Discrete Duality Finite Volume method
Résumé
We set up a numerical scheme, based on the Discrete Duality Finite Volume framework, to simulate certain mixture flows. The PDE system under consideration involves reaction-convection-diffusion equations, together with a constraint, generalizing the standard solenoidal condition. The DDFV scheme is constructed in order to preserve the main conservation properties of the problem and we establish the basis of the numerical analysis of the method. The approach is validated by a series of two-dimensional numerical experiments, being motivated by the simulation of biological flows arising from tumor growth modeling.
