The Quaker Influence on the Development of Industries Related to Ceramic Production

A history of Quakerism and the role of the Quakers in British industrial development from the seventeenth Century onwards in many fields of activity such as heavy metal refining, chocolate, foods, and especially porcelain manufacture. Key personalities such as George Fox (the founder of Quakerism), Andrew Duche, William Weston Young, William Cookworthy, Benjamin Lund, Richard Champion and their roles in the development of early English and Welsh porcelains are described.
