Comment parlent les jeunes de milieux défavorisés dans la littérature contemporaine ? Traits linguistiques présents et absents
Résumé
In this article, the authors compare the speech of young working-class speakers as represented in four recent novels with oral productions by young people from the Paris suburbs available in the Multicultural French Paris corpus (MPF). This comparison makes it possible to propose an expanded inventory of linguistic features: the lexicon (appellatives, intensification procedures and enunciative modalizers), certain discourse markers, as well as certain syntactic facts (linked to grammatical category, verb constructions and word order). This navigation between the novels and the oral corpus provides the salient features, but also identifies some markers absent from the written representation (non-standard anaphoric repetitions, the density of repetitions, etc.) because they break too sharply with reading habits.
