Facing Climate Emergency by reinventing the Agricultural and Food Legal System
Résumé
The spread of the feeling of ecological and climatic urgency is the result of an evolution that has allowed people to gradually become aware that their lifestyles were causing nuisances and even disasters. In the agricultural area, this long learning process has been materialized in a set of legal provisions integrating ecological and then climatic issues into agricultural Law and Policies. However, this transitional period has come to an end. The scientific demonstration of current or imminent crises linked to climate phenomena requires to leave the transition paradigm and to think about innovative strategies in a short time. After maturation, the time is ripe for mutation.
