Shake-the-Box technique to investigate an elongated air bubble flowing in stagnant liquid , in a slightly inclined pipe

Résumé

This study is a first attempt to apply TOMOPTV to a two-phase flow in a circular section pipe. Experiments focus onboth velocity and shape of isolated elongated bubbles in a viscous liquid at rest and in a slightly inclined pipe. Calibrationand post-processing of TOMOPTV data is performed and validated by comparison to experimental data and analytical solutions
