Sulla datazione e la provenienza del Terenzio Trivulziano appartenuto a Baldo Martorelli
Abstract
The present note aims at drawing attention to the existence in MS Trivulziano 727, a fifteenth-century Lombard manuscript containing the plays of Terence, of a hitherto unnoticed date indication which provides several interesting pieces of information about the early history of the volume. This indication makes it possible to date more precisely the completion of the copy before 1453, to find out the name of one of its first owners and to know that the manuscript was pledged to a Jewish moneylender, in Milan or at least in the Duchy of Milan.
