Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy of an evolving conducting polymer dendrite in water

Résumé

Deposition of PEDOT:PSS is triggered alternatively on two gold wires distant of 240 µm from each other. The gold wires are immersed in a drop of water containing 10 mM of EDOT, 1 mM of sodium polystyrene sulfonate (NaPSS) and 10 mM of benzoquinone (BQ). The growth is captured with a camera and the resulting footage is speed up from around 10 minutes to 30 seconds. The experiment is made of periods of 50 seconds, each one followed by a period of 2 minutes for the EIS measurement.
