[Invited] Bioinspired Design and MEMS Technology in Miniature Flying Robots: Fabrication and Dynamic Testing

Résumé

When designing a miniature flying robot, conventional solutions for larger scales are inadequate due to the severe constraints of size and power. Consequently, every aspect of development must be reimagined from the ground up. This study introduces a bioinspired approach and innovative concepts specifically tailored to address these challenges, followed by a comprehensive analysis of both simulated and experimental results. The resulting prototypes, weighing only 22 mg and measuring 25 mm in wingspan and 15 mm in length, demonstrate a lift force equal to their weight.
