Synthesis of cyclope-tides : constraints analogues of the peptide neurotoxin omega-agatoxin IVB
Résumé
For several years, our laboratory has been engaged in the enantioselective or diastereoselective synthesis of new compounds, primarily of nonprotein amino acids, in order to obtain pharmacological tools necessary to the study of the central nervous system and more precisely of the glutamate receptors which are essential in cerebral activities (memory, learning...) and which can be involved in certain pathologies (ischemia, epilepsy, disease of Huntington and Alzheimer ...). Specific anchoring of peptide neurotoxins on certain neurotransmitters receptors or membrane ionic channels, allow better understanding of neuronal transmission process in the CNS and thus the design of new drugs and therapeutic or preventive treatments.
