2′-Deoxyribo-oligonucleotides duplexes and G-quadruplexes structures and thermal stability in 1‑butyl‑1-methylpiperidinium and 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide ionic liquid solutions

Conformation and thermal stability of duplexes made of various ratio of purine and pyrimidine, but also of two G-quadruplexes, were evaluated in two different ionic liquids, aliphatic 1‑butyl‑1-methylpiperidinium bromide and 1-octyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide with an aromatic moiety, by means of UV-spectroscopy and circular dichroism. It appeared that no conformational change occurred within all structures studied whatever the medium was, only thermal stabilities were affected.
