Dos notas lingüísticas a un epigrama de Golgos
Résumé
This paper examines two verbal forms on a Cypriot epigram from Golgoi (CEG 868). On the one hand, the author argues that we-i-se-se = 2nd sg. subj. ϝείσης (= Att. εἴπῃς) represents a particular Cypriot evolution of the voiceless labiovelar *kw in a palatalizing environment. On the other hand, previous morphological and phonological interpretations of the unexpected scansion of ku-me-re-na-i = 3rd pl. pr. ind. κυμέρναhι (= Att. κυβερνῶσι) are rejected and a more likely metrical explanation is provided.
