Is Diameter Relevant for Stent Graft Sizing in Aortic Dissections? A Dual Centre Study

Résumé

The first line treatment for acute complicated type B aortic dissection (TBAD) is endovascular. Stent graft sizing is crucial since its characteristics will determine the forces applied on the aortic wall to ensure stent graft seal while avoiding aortic lesions. Minimal stent graft oversizing (OS) is generally preferred for aortic dissection; however, there are currently no evidence based data or recommendations regarding precise methodology for OS calculation or optimal OS rate in the setting of acute TBAD. This study aimed to analyse and discuss current practice regarding stent graft sizing for acute TBAD.
