Numerical Investigations on the Magnitude of Disturbance That Could Be Detected through IAS* Monitoring
Résumé
The aim of this paper is to use a numerical model to estimate the minimum amplitude of a localized and angularly periodic perturbation which should be detected through the analysis of Power Spectral Density (PSD) of Instantaneous Angular Speed (IAS). To that purpose, a numerical torsional model of a test bench is developped. Particular attention is paid to precise introduction of this perturbation in the numerical device. It is modelled in the angular domain as a half sinus without any loss of generalization. The main results is that perturbation with a magnitude 300 times lower than the friction bearing torque should be detected through the analysis of the PSD of IAS for a representative inertia.
